Outcomes
Participants will build on the skills learned in the InDesign Basic Skills 1 course. Participants will learn additional methods and techniques to create more advanced multi-page documents with greater efficiency. Participants will learn techniques for formatting text efficiently, for creating graphics within InDesign, and for creating layouts quickly.
Prerequisites
Completion of the InDesign 1.5 Basic Skills 1 course or equivalent knowledge.
What should you be familiar with?
Experience with another Desktop publishing package, such as Corel Draw or Publisher

Performance-based objectives- Create multiple master page documents for efficient page layout.
- Use advanced style techniques to automate formatting.
- Use the Find/Change command to replace text and correct formatting errors.
- Create libraries to hold frequently used text and pictures.
- Create and edit Bézier paths to form irregular text and picture frames and to flow text on curves.
- Create sections to change page numbering within a document.
- Apply hidden shortcuts for faster manipulation of text, graphics, and the InDesign environment.
